Obuda University is accepting applications for its Doctoral School of Applied Computer Science and Applied Mathematics for a four-year doctoral (PhD) program and for individual preparation for the doctoral degree
A doctoral program leading to a PhD degree will begin in February 2026, offered in full-time, self-supporting part-time, and individual formats, in the following disciplines and fields of study:
- engineering sciences: computer science,
- natural sciences: mathematics and computational sciences
Upon successful completion of the program, the university will issue a certificate of completion. This entitles the candidate to initiate the doctoral degree conferral process and defend their dissertation.

Number of students planned to be admitted to AIAMDI: max. 20
Scoring rules:
- Previous academic record (grade on MSc/MBA degree) – maximum 30 points (summa cum laude: 30 points, magna cum laude: 20 points, cum laude: 10 points);
- English language proficiency – maximum 15 points (advanced level 15, intermediate level 11, basic level 7, on-site oral assessment 0–7 points);
- results demonstrated in previous research, creative, and/or professional work (student research awards, scientific publications, patents, developments verified by documentation) – maximum 30 points;
- ideas related to the doctoral work, feasibility of the research program – maximum 25 points.
Tuition fee: 150,000 HUF/semester
